Fasting Calendars
Many fasting calendars are from the Greek Archdiocese which has some minor but not insignificant differences from the Antiochian Archdiocese. Below is the Antiochian link that can be printed off.
Daily Readings
These daily readings are the Epistle and Gospel readings we read on any given day, whether at the Divine Liturgy or at home.
Home/Reader Services
To run services at home or as a reader service in the temple, which anybody can do with Father’s blessing, one can use:
- Those in their prayer books
- Pre-prepared digital service texts from the Archdiocese (scroll down to permanent and seasonal links, they are updated daily)
- The Anthologion, which was designed to be approachable for laypersons.
Parish Service Books
Our Archdiocese uses various service texts. The large books we use in the Parish are the set from Holy Transfiguration Monastery.
– The Horologion (2 volumes)
(Book of the Hours)
– The Menaion (12 volumes)
(Book of the Months)
– The Octoechos
(Book of the Eight Tones)
– The Triodion
(Book of Lent)
– The Pentecostarion
(Book of Pentecost)
