"2nd Ave. Dinner"

There is a need for volunteers for the Thursday food service. This is a joint effort with Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Spokane and other charity organizations in Spokane (Campus Kitchens (Gonzaga University volunteers) being the umbrella organization). You can help prepare (1:00pm - 2:30pm), setup (4:00pm-4:30pm), serve (4:30pm-6:00pm) or cleanup (6:00pm - 6:30pm).

To help setup/serve/cleanup, meet at the First Covenant Church (info below) at the appropriate time.

We are also looking for donations - pledges or one-time (all tax-deductible). If you wish to donate food, there are restrictions on what we can accept. Email for info.

Pet Food

Some people we serve have dogs and we also provide dog food (when possible) to those who need it. If you would like to donate dog food, it will be welcome. Large bags of dry food are transferred to smaller bags. Funds donated for the 2nd Ave. Dinner are not used to buy dog food - this is a personal volunteer effort.

Monetary Donations

Checks should be written to "Philoptochos" with 2nd Ave Dinner on the memo line. These donations are tax-deductible. You can mail the check to Holy Trinity or give to Barry.
